Appenzeller, Stanisław (ur. 1901 a mountain, zm. after World War II in France).
Painter, publicist, activist of the ZAP Block. He was an extraordinary student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studio of W.. Jarocki in 1923-24. He was active in the ZAP Block (Professional Artists). W 1936, together with H.. Jastrzębowska-Kenarowa organized an exhibition of works by members of the Bloc in the halls of the castle in Rapperswil. W 1938 he was elected to the leadership of that union. (It is worth recalling at this point, that Blok ZAP brought together artistic groups that emerged from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and stood in a certain opposition to the colorists). In the same year, he was awarded a bronze medal for the painting Judas presented at the TZSP Salon in Zachęta. It was a monumental religious composition composed of many plans played out on a wide scale, landscape background with high horizon. In addition to pictures with an extensive content page, he also painted still lifes and landscapes, m.i. landscape notes from travel to Greece, reproduced in “Plastics” (the organ of the ZAP Block) w 1938. In i.a.. the journal also published journalistic articles, related to the current problems of art and artistic circles.
