Feuerring, Max (was born in 1896 r. Lviv, died in 1985 year in Sydney).
Painter, publicist, member of the Association of Polish Artists in France, Societe “Modern Paris”, Society of Professional Painters and Sculptors, Society of Independent Artists, Society of True Independents. He studied at the Kunstschule in Berlin and in Rome with Rossi, Coromaldiego i Zuccardi, and then settled in Paris. Here in 1927 there was a major breakthrough in his art. The artist began to create in the spirit of violent expressionism. Ok. 1930 evolved towards colorism, not devoid of expressiveness, however, in the strong play of fighting colors, “where triviality is so insignificant from the refined raffinade”. W 1934 in the commentary in the exhibition catalog, he said, that he came through a creative search “through the color problem and its differentiation, to today's problem of reconciling the form with the color and giving them equal values in the construction of the image”. Apart from participating in exhibitions in France, he also exhibited in the country in Lviv, Poznań and Warsaw. He collaborated with the Krakow-based Głos Plastyków, in which he published an article Abstractness and thematicity in terms of art for the masses. The problem of color, on the other hand, became a voice in his reflections on the work of Pierre Bonnard, a printed in Paris in 1 number “Culture” z 1949 r.
