Frydrysiak Bernard

Frydrysiak Bernard (ur. 1908 Warsaw, zm. 1970 New York).
Painter, chart, member of the Society of St.. Luke, Czerń and Biel groups, Bloku ZAP, Independent Groups. He studied art at the SSP in Warsaw (from 1932 ASP) w l. 1928-34 under the direction of T.. Pruszkowski. He belonged to the affiliated v 1936 group of graphic artists Czerń i Biel practiced metal techniques (export, and above all a dry needle) and woodcut, in which he made compositions using clear contrasts of black and white. W 1938 joined the Brotherhood of St.. Luke. Took part (in the same year) in the collective work of the Brotherhood, namely, the performance of seven great historical compositions for the honorary hall of the Polish pavilion at the World Exhibition in New York. He was a very popular artist, known to a wider audience. He painted, among others. genre paintings and landscapes, in which he clearly alluded to Dutch art “little masters” XVII century. He participated in numerous exhibitions of graphics and painting, was awarded a bronze medal at the TZSP Jubilee Salon in 1936, he has also received a number of awards in the USA. W 1948 participated in the Exhibition of Independent Artists, which took place in the auditorium of the Warsaw University of Technology.
