Gottlieb, Maurice

Gottlieb Maurycy (ur. 1856 Drohobycz, zm. 1879 Cracow).
He studied drawing in Lviv with M.. Godlewski, and then in Vienna at K. Wurzinger (1872-74) i H. Angeli (1876-78). W 1873-74 i 1878-79 at Matejko's, a w 1875-76 in Munich at K. The pilot is A. Wagner. He made a trip to Rome. He painted biblical and literary compositions, also moral scenes from the life of contemporary Jews. He was also an outstanding portraitist.
