Vlastimil Hofman (ur. 1881 Prague, zm. 1970 Szklarska Poreba).
In Krakow he settled in 1889. He studied at the SSP with F.. Zinc, J. Malczewski, J. Stanisławski, i L. Wyczółkowski (1896-99 i 1901-02), then in Paris at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts at J.. L. Geromea. During World War II he was in Palestine, w 1946 he came back to Krakow, w 1947 he moved to Szklarska Poręba. He belonged, among others. to the Society “Piece”, groups “Five”, “Zero”, “Secession” Viennese. He painted figural compositions on folk themes (village Madonnas, roadside shrines) symbolic, fantastic, landscapes, portraits, in a very individual perspective.
