Painter, draftsman, member-co-founder of the artes association. He began his painting studies at private lessons with Z. Albinowska and W.. Kryciński, later, in years 1921-24 studied with K.. Sichulski at the State Industrial School in Lviv. W 1923 he was in Vienna, where he saw a great exhibition of European modern painting. In years 1924-25 i 1928-29 he was in Paris. During his second stay there, he established contacts with the magazine “L Art Contemporain Contemporary Art” and studied at the ecole Nationale des Beaux-Asts. After returning to Lviv, St. 1929 founded with M.. Wysocki and A.. Kszywoblockim artes association. He took part in exhibitions of this group in Lviv, Warsaw and Krakow. From 1932 he was a member of LZZAP, and from 1933 Neoartes syndrome. In the 1930s, he was also involved in the renovation of historic polychromes in Lviv. After World War II, which he experienced in Krakow, he finally settled in Warsaw. According to Janisch “the picture is not an intellectual cookie in a golden frame, it is a tool for communicating emotions, the picture is not painted or made, but it does survive”. In his works, one can observe unusual combinations of real objects and figures, random fragments of remembered images, imaginations and memories. His fanciful and grotesque compositions were close to the problems of surrealism, which was a kind of catalyst for the artist's poetic imagination. Janisch was also the author of photomontages, kept in a similar mood. When the artes association actually ceased to exist, unlike their colleagues, who turned to other directions, he remained in the circle of poetic fantasy and metaphor, which can be evidenced, already established in 1939 image Mona Liza in sleep.
