Wojciech Kossak (ur. 1856 Paris, zm. 1942 Cracow).
Father Juliusz taught him drawing, w 1871-73 he studied at the SSP in Kraków with W.. Łuszczkiewicz, and then in Munich with A.. Strahuber, A. Wagner and W.. Lindenschmita. W 1876 was in Krakow, w 1877 in Paris, where he studied with L.. Bonnata and A. cabana. Os 1884 he lived 10 years in Krakow. W 1895-1902 he worked in Berlin for Kaiser Wilhelm II, he traveled from there to Poland. He visited Spain and Egypt, He has been to Vienna and London. W 1913 he became a professor of the SSP in Warsaw. After war, in which he participated, he lived in Krakow, visiting Warsaw regularly. W 1923-24 i 1927-32 he stayed in the USA. He mainly painted battle compositions, historical-genre and portraits. He was a co-creator of several panoramas, m.in. Panorama of the Battle of Racławice.
