Lentz, Stanisław (ur. 1861 Warsaw, zm. 1920 Warsaw)
He studied in 1877-79 in the Krakow SSP with F. Szynalewski and I.. Jabłoński, w 1879-80 in the Warsaw Drawing Class with W.. Gershon, then in Munich with A.. Wagner and G.. Benczura (1880-84), finally in Paris at the Academie Julian (1884-87). W 1887 he settled in Warsaw. He was the director of the Warsaw SSP (1909-1920), collaborated with the editorial office “Kłosów” i “The Illustrated Weekly”. He belonged to the Society of Polish Artists “Piece”. He mainly painted portraits, sometimes as costume scenes, also genre scenes and images with a social meaning.
