Gerson Wojciech

Gerson, Wojciech (ur. 1831 Warsaw, zm. 1901 Warsaw).
He studied with J.. F. Piwarsi, C. Breslauera i M. Zaleski, and then in 1853-55 at the Academy of St. Petersburg and Paris (1856-58) in the studio of L.. Cognita. He returned to Warsaw for good in 1858. He traveled abroad several times. He was a painter (landscapes, historical images, generic, religious, portraits), illustrator and organizer of artistic life (one of the founders of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts), for educators. In my own studio in the Drawing Class, where was the professor, educated many students. He wrote dissertations on art, reviews from exhibitions.
