Okuń Edward

Okuń Edward (ur. 1872 Wólka Zerzeńska near. Of Warsaw, zm. 1945 Skierniewice).
He studied with W.. Gerson in the Warsaw Drawing Class. W 1891-93 w SSP u I. Jabłoński and J.. Matejko, then in Munich with Azbe and S. Holosy, w 1897-98 in Paris with B. Constant, R. Collin and J. P. Laurensa. From 1898 he lived in Rome, from 1921 constantly in Warsaw. He was a professor of the SSP here. W 1930-33 he stayed in Yugoslavia. He was a member of the Society “Piece”. Beside painting (landscapes, fantasy-symbolic compositions) he practiced illustration (“Chimera”, “Sphinx”)
