Krzyżanowski Konrad (ur. 1872 Kremenchuk in Ukraine, zm. 1922 Warsaw).
Konrad Krzyżanowski began studying painting with N. Maruszki at the Kiev School of Drawing, and in years 1892-1897 he continued them at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts with K.. Lebedev and I.. Tworożnikowa. He also used the advice of A.. Kuindji. W r. 1897 left for Munich and studied there at the private school of S.. Ravenclaw, during summer painting plein-airs in Hungary. W r. 1898 traveled to Italy, w 1900 lives in Warsaw, where he founded his own painting school, and in years 1904 – 1909, taught at the School of Fine Arts. W r. 1912 he was in Paris and London. He spent the years of the First World War in Volhynia, Polesie and in Kiev. After returning to Warsaw in. 1918 re-opened a painting school. He mainly painted portraits, in which he combines the insightful characteristics of the model with the freedom and virtuosity of the painting technique. He also created expressions, widely painted landscapes. He designed stained glass windows, made illustrations for magazines Chimera.
