Who was Stanisław Wyspiański
Stanisław Wyspiański can be called a Renaissance Man - he was a writer, poet, playwrights, graphic artist and painter, he also designed furniture. I came into contact with Stanisław Wyspiański during high school, however, I did not like his work. I am talking both about literature and the art he creates.
Stanisław Wyspiański was born in Kraków 15 January 1869 year. He studied at the St.. Anny without anything special. Wyspiański enrolled at the Jagiellonian University and the Academy of Fine Arts. Director of the Academy of Fine Arts, who Jan Matejko was at that time, instructed him to participate in painting the polychrome in St Mary's Church. In years 90 In the nineteenth century, he made the famous polychrome in the Franciscan Church in Krakow. W 1900 In 1982, Wyspiański married Teodora Teofila Pytko of peasant origin – it was one of the manifestations of the then popular peasantry. The artist's work brought fame Wedding reception, which is still obligatory reading at school. However, I do not see anything extraordinary in this piece. The book was based on the wedding of Lucjan Rydel, held in Rydlówka in Bronowice w 1900 year, and in which Wyspiański was one of the guests.
The artist, despite his achievements, had a not very flattering opinion. Even before marrying Theodora, he had illegitimate children with her, and for many years of his life he struggled with syphilis, which was the cause of his death. He died 28 November 1907 only a year old 38 lat.
