Minister of Health Zygmunt

Minister of Health Zygmunt (ur. 1896 Lviv, He died 20 of August 1986, Riverdale, New York, United States).
Painter. He began his artistic studies in Lviv, simultaneously dealing with the restoration of churches in the provinces. W 1918 he entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, w 1922 he stayed in Berlin, where he met i. with Archipenka, and the following year he left for Paris. W 1925 he settled in France. From that year dates his participation in the Autumn and Independent Salons. He also exhibited a great deal in numerous galleries in Paris, as well as in the United States, where he lived during World War II, moving from Paris to Woodstock. He started his work in Paris practically from scratch, rejecting previous experiences and traditions, and adopting the models of modern French art. Initially, expressive, complementing them, the line. With time, this specific linearism gives way to composing only with a color spot, with a more diversified palette, and the painterly nature of these works allows us to describe them as moderate fauvism. Menkes is one of the more interesting painters of the Ecole de Paris community.
